The Secret of Spells
The secrets of spells are the most powerful because they involve the use of magical means to work you will on the universe. When you learn magic, you gain not only great power but great responsibility. Most practitioners of "white magic" believe that it is unethical to impose your will upon a specific person, except for the purpose of healing. If the reason for this is unclear to you, imagine how you would feel if you found out that your actions were being influenced by the magical workings of another. However, magical workings that are not aimed at a specific person are considered acceptable. For example, instead of working magic that would directly harm a co-worker who is making your life at work miserable, you could do a spell to get yourself transferred or promoted away from him/her, or a spell to find a him/her a new job that moves him away from you or a spell that encases you in a globe of protection that no petty machinations can pierce.
Of course, no one can make a decision like this for you. Your own ethics and conscience must be your guide. Remember, though, the magical principle of karma: what you do returns thrice to you.
